About Plain Jane

Plain Jane Apparel makes heavyweight basics in small runs — tees, hoodies, outerwear, and bottoms cut from fabric heavy enough to hold its shape past the twentieth wash. No logos, no seasonal filler, no seven colorways of the same shirt. Just the pieces we'd actually wear on repeat, made well enough to earn that.

Why small batches

We print and cut in runs of fifty, not fifty thousand. It costs more per piece and it means popular items sell out — sometimes in days. We think that trade is worth it: smaller runs mean less overproduction, faster iteration on fit and fabric, and less pressure to move volume at the expense of quality. Read more about that reasoning on the Journal.

What we actually make

Four categories, kept tight on purpose: tees (200–260gsm cotton), hoodies (340–420gsm fleece), outerwear, and bottoms. Every product page lists the actual fabric weight and materials — not marketing language, the real spec — because we think that's the information that actually predicts whether something holds up.

Note for the site owner: this page uses placeholder brand-story copy written for the rebuild. Replace with your real founding story, team, and any production/location details you want public before launch.
